Knowledge of common terms of LED lamps

Some sales departments are often asked about some product knowledge by customers, but because they are not familiar with LED lamp terminology, they often need to explain to customers for half a day to let customers understand. In view of this phenomenon, the following six commonly used terms of LED lamps are explained and shared, which are also for the reference of purchasing friends.

1、 Luminous flux

The total amount of light emitted by a light source in unit time is called the luminous flux of the light source.

2、 Illuminance

The degree to which an object is illuminated is called illuminance, which is measured by the luminous flux obtained per unit area.

3、 Color temperature

When a standard blackbody is heated and the temperature rises to a certain degree, the color begins to change gradually from dark red - light red - orange yellow - white - blue. When the color of a light source is the same as that of the blackbody, we call the temperature of the blackbody at that time as the color temperature of the light source.

 

When the color temperature is below 3300K, the light color is red, giving a warm feeling; It has a stable atmosphere and warm feeling. It is commonly known as warm color temperature.

 

The color temperature is in the middle of 3000-6000k, people have no particularly obvious visual and psychological effect under this tone, and have a refreshing feeling; Therefore, it is called "neutral" color temperature.

 

The color temperature exceeds 6000K, and the light color is blue, giving people a cold feeling, which is commonly known as cold color temperature.

 

The halogen lamp is 3800K, the student eye protection lamp is 5800k, the traffic rules are not higher than 6500k, and there are obvious cutting lines of distance and distance lamps.

 

4、 Explicit finger

Refers to the color rendering index. We call the rendering degree of the real color of the object by the light source as the color rendering of the light source. In order to quantitatively evaluate the color rendering of light source, the concept of color rendering index is introduced. It is equivalent to the pixel of the camera. The higher the display finger, the higher the reduction degree of the irradiated object.

 

5、 Wavelength

Different LED wavelengths are used in different fields.

 

6、 Light decay

Refers to photometric attenuation. It is related to the brand chip and the ambient temperature. For the same chip, the higher the ambient temperature, the faster the light decay.
